What is Cordura® Fabric and why does Peli use it?

Cordura® Fabric is a heavy-duty fabric which offers the best-in-class abrasion resistance, tear strength and water repellent coating to ensure our products meet the expectations of our customers. Used in the most rugged environments and by the U.S. military, Cordura® Fabric is made with “100% high-tenacity, air jet-textured filament fabric” which offers strength and durability required for the toughest missions.

All Peli Aegis™ and ModPak™ items are made with either 500D or 1000D Cordura® Fabric and have a the Cordura® tag on the product to ensure authenticity.

What is Peli Shield™ technology and EVA Compression?

Peli Shield™ technology is molded EVA foam compressed into a rigid protective panel or “shield” to ensure protection and durability. This “shield” offers the functionality of hard-sided protection, while utilizing the versatility of soft-sided flexibility.

How do I care for my Peli Aegis Product?

All Peli Aegis™ Packs, Bags and Duffels are made with Cordura® Fabric. Cordura® Fabric is a durable and strong fabric designed for heavy duty and rugged use, nevertheless the way the fabric is milled, it tends to show off scuffs and marks. These cosmetic blemishes do NOT affect the integrity of the product. We encourage our customers to embrace these scuffs and marks as a mission accomplished.

To clean, use a semi-damp or dry soft cloth to clean the scuff marks and let air dry. Peli Shield™ technology scuffs and marks may be more noticeable. To clean, use a semi-damp or dry soft cloth to wipe away the scuff marks and let air dry.

Do not use detergents, cleaning wipes, or paper towels to clean. These products can damage the fabric and affect the integrity of the product.

Do not wash in a washing machine. The temperatures and cycles can damage the foam structure and the fabric.

What is Molle and how does it work?

Molle is a universal system of attaching pouches and accessories to other products, such as panels, packs and bags by weaving straps of nylon webbing into and onto fixed webbing channels. It is widely used by the U.S. Miliary, NATO forces, First Responders, and outdoor enthusiasts.

Many of our Aegis™ Packs and Bags have internal and external fixed MOLLE channels for attachment. Our Peli ModPak™ accessories have MOLLE attachment straps to be utilized with our Aegis Packs and Bags, Case Molle Panels, and other products on the market.
